QUICK FIG JAM
1 lb. fresh Black Mission figs, diced
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. water
Place the figs in a small saucepan. Add the sugar and water and heat, stirring, to a boil. Cook, uncovered, over medium heat until the figs have softened and the mixture is very thick, about 10 minutes to 15 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and let cool. Spread on toasted baguette slices and top with your favorite cheese.

I just tasted some Pomegranate Molasses and it was wonderful. Has anybody had any experience with it?
My favorite recipe for pomegranate molasses is 1 part molasses to 2 parts honey. The sauce is delicious on pork, lamb, and chicken, especially if garnished with garlic-scented almonds (mix minced garlic with chopped parsley and butter, toss with sliced almonds and bake until toasted).
